The Queen Mary II to visit Gaspé in 2016
Gaspé, March 30th, 2015 – Escale Gaspésie is proud to be among the ports of call chosen by Cunard Cruise Line for the Queen Mary II’s St. Lawrence itinerary in 2016. Stéphane Sainte-Croix, Escale Gaspésie’s Director says that « confirmation of the prestigious Queen Mary’s II’s visit is truly an honor for the region. It is also a major vote of confidence from the industry for our organization and for the port of call. We will make sure we meet their needs and expectations in order to make this stop-over a successful one ».
Along with its inaugural visit to Gaspé on October 7, 2016, the Queen Mary II will make stops in Saguenay, (also an inaugural call) and Québec City during this particular 2016 St. Lawrence itinerary. The ocean liner boasts five star accomodations and has a capacity of 2620 passengers and 1254 crew members.
Escale Gaspésie is a non-profit organization; its mission is to develop, promote and operate a port of call for international cruise ships along the St. Lawrence-Atlantic Canada-New England circuit at the tip of the Gaspé Peninsula.
