Saguenay's port of call's 10th anniversary: September 15

The official anniversary date for Saguenay's port of call is Thursday, September 15. It was on this day in September, 2006, that the MS Amsterdam from the Holland America Line company first docked in Saguenay and began the first season of international cruises.

On the celebratory day, the festivities start at noon and the captains of the two ships that stopover in Saguenay will also be present: The Zuiderdam and Norwegian Dawn plus the 6,200 passengers and crew members. Following the ceremony, an anniversary cake will be served while Latin singer, Dominique Hudson, performs at the port village Agora. Well-known for his albums “Danza”, “Danza 2” and many hits on the radio, he will bring the day’s activities to a close!

The week will be extremely busy since in just two days, five ships will be visiting our destination. On Wednesday September 14, the Europa 2, Seabourn Quest and Pearl Mist will be present in the Baie des Ha! Ha!
