Newcomer to the Saint Lawrence: Pearl Seas Cruises
It is with enthusiasm in abundance that our Saint Lawrence ports of call will be welcoming the all new Pearl Mist to our shores during the 2014 cruise season. American Cruise Lines have launched a new cruise company known as Pearl Seas Cruises. Their brand new ship, the Pearl Mist, is scheduled to be ready just in time for a June 25th departure on a Canada/New England Maritime itinerary. Following this inaugural cruise, the new ship will sail the waters of the Saint Lawrence a further five times in 2014.
The new line prides itself in providing exceptional comfort aboard a ship designed to accommodate 210 passengers and a crew of 60. Offering a combination of luxury, upmarket amenities and hint of adventure in every program, the Pearl Mist is decidedly more human by design.
With personalized onboard service, upscale dining facilities and more yacht-like ambience, the Pearl Mist combines safety, comfort and leading edge technology. Although relatively small in size, the Pearl Mist offers a broad spectrum of services that one might expect to find only on larger ships. In addition, tour directors and historians present theme-based conferences as the ship makes its way from one port of call to the next.
Four different itineraries make it possible to visit eight of the nine Saint Lawrence ports of call.
- Canadian Maritimes Cruise: This 10-day cruise aboard the Pearl Mist begins in Portland (Maine) and ends at Québec with stopovers in the Magdalen Islands, Gaspé, Baie-Comeau and Saguenay. Scheduled departures: July 9th and October 8th 2014
- Canadian Maritimes Cruise: Sailing in the opposite direction, this 12-day/11-night cruise sets out from Québec en route to Portland (Maine), calling in at Baie-Comeau, Sept-Îles, Gaspé and the Magdalen Islands. Scheduled departure: October 18th 2014
- Great Lakes and Thousand Islands Cruise: This 12-day/11-night cruise, which departs the Port of Québec on July 19th 2014 en route to Chicago, features a one-day stopover in Montréal.
- Canadian Maritimes and Saint Lawrence Seaway: On September 24th, the Pearl Mist will depart Montréal for Portland (Maine) on a two-week voyage stopping in at Trois-Rivières, Québec, Baie Comeau, Sept-Îles, Gaspé and the Magdalen Islands en route to destination.
For passengers in search of cruises with a difference, breathtaking scenery and premium level comfort, Pearl Seas Cruises offer an interesting alternative to larger ships. Bon voyage!
