Did you know that...?

Wishing you the happiest of Holidays!
With the month of December now upon us and the year 2015 drawing to a close, we wish to thank you for your unstinted support throughout the past year. All of you — cruise line officials, travel agents and Cruise the Saint Lawrence partners — contribute handsomely to our success, as well as to ongoing destination growth and development.
Once again, we experienced an exceptional year marked by an increase of more than 7% in passenger and crew volume compared with the 2014 season. Indeed, some 274 000 passengers and more than 105 000 crew visited our various member ports of call in the period from May to October 2015. Our ports of embarkation and disembarkation were, as you might imagine, the most frequented. However, each of the seven other ports of call enjoyed a strong season. Over and above the decidedly enviable results for the year just ended, bookings for 2016 appear promising and point to growth of between 3% and 5% in terms of passenger numbers. Once again, several new ships will be making inaugural visits to the Saint Lawrence, indicating that the itinerairy Canada / New England, the Québec component in particular, continues to spur interest and curiosity with cruise lines and the travelling public.
We therefore wish to take advantage of this time of the year when results are being tallied to thank you sincerely for your support over the past 10 years and more. Thanks to you, Destination Saint Lawrence has welcomed over 2 million passengers since 2008, affording them a unique opportunity to discover our nine ports of call and the diverse range of attractions and activities on offer.
May the year-end Holidays be peaceful, heartwarming and filled with happy times spent with family and friends. May they be joyful and rewarding, leaving you with the impression that time has stopped, if ever fleetingly, to allow you to immortalize the present. May the year 2016 be filled with love and prosperity for you and those you cherish. And may peace work its magic in the world.
