Cruise the Saint Lawrence Association steps up efforts to reach out to travel agents

Cruise the Saint Lawrence Association is enthusiastically increasing its communications efforts towards the travel distribution system. Travel agents are at the heart of the cruise purchase process, and cruise operators really rely on agents for their excellent knowledge of cruise destinations and boats.>

Cruise the Saint Lawrence Association (CSLA) works together with its government partners and its members to promote the nine Québec stopovers, knowing that the destination has the potential to become a natural choice for cruise lines in developing new products. To raise travel agents’ awareness of the importance of Québec as a destination, CSLA has implemented a series of communications efforts, notably including a visibility campaign on the http://www.travelweekly.com/ website, participation in Travel Weekly’s new CruiseWorld 2010 convention and expo with Destination Québec, and a quiz designed especially for travel agents, focusing on the highlights of Québec stopovers.

By taking this quiz testing their knowledge of Québec, agents are automatically entered in a contest in which they can win a 64 GB iPod Touch. Travel agents are invited to take part in great numbers by going to the following URL: www.cruisesaintlawrence.com/contest. We also suggest that they sign up for the electronic newsletter in order to receive the latest information about the nine stopovers on the St. Lawrence: Montréal, Québec, Trois-Rivières, Saguenay, Baie-Comeau, Sept-Îles, Havre-Saint-Pierre, Îles de la Madeleine, and Gaspésie.
