Newcomers to Destination Saint Lawrence:

Saint-Laurent

Haimark Line and Rivages du Monde

Haimark Line and Rivages du Monde cruise companies, both renowned for premium service and distinctive itineraries, will be coming to Destination Saint Lawrence during the 2015 cruise season. The two companies will each use the all new M/V Saint Laurent designed to provide some 200 passengers with cruise offerings second to none.

Entirely refurbished during the winter of 2014-2015, the four-star M/V Saint Laurent Prestige will be staffed by a crew of 90 tasked with providing attentive service and a more personalized onboard experience. The 60 cabins, the majority of which are outside cabins, are spread out on 4 decks. Common spaces are plentiful, generous in size and designed with passenger comfort in mind.

French-based Rivages du Monde invites passengers to experience an all new Destination Saint Lawrence itinerary which includes Niagara Falls, the scenic best of Lake Ontario and the Saint Lawrence ports of Trois-Rivières and Québec. With 11 scheduled departures from Montréal, Rivages du Monde offers up the splendours of the Saint Lawrence for French-speaking cruiseshippers from France, Belgium, Switzerland and, of course, Canada.

US-based Haimark Line plans a total of 8 cruises to or from Montréal to Portland (Maine), Toronto and Chicago.  Sailings will include stopovers at Gaspé, Québec and Montréal. These new river cruises will add welcome diversity to Destination Saint Lawrence cruise offerings.  Passengers will revel in the upscale onboard service, personalized attention and appealing selection of excursions included with each package. What better way to discover  the singular countryscapes and authenticity of Québec's ports of call!  Catering primarily to an English-speaking clientele, Haimark Line will feature conferences and the presence of naturalist guides aboard the majority of cruises. The inaugural voyage from Montréal will feature journalist Dan Rather, well-known anchormen for US-based CBS News.

With regular visits planned during the period from May through to October, the M/V Saint Laurent will quickly gain recognition as a destination regular by locals eager to bid a warm welcome to newcomers to our shores.
